Frontex Industry Days

FRONTEX Industry Days (FRONTEX I-Days) are events organized by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, also known as Frontex, which is the European Union's border management agency. The aim of these events is to bring together a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives from the public sector, academia, and the private sector, to discuss current and future challenges related to border management, border security, and migration management. 

During these events, participants can attend panel discussions, presentations, and exhibitions that provide an opportunity to learn about the latest technological advancements, best practices, and research findings related to border and migration management. The FRONTEX I-Days also provide a platform for industry representatives to showcase their latest technological developments that have potential for use or adaptation in border management. These innovations can be freely discussed among participants from Member States’ border authorities and Frontex experts, encouraging knowledge exchange and collaboration. 

Attendees can schedule direct 1:1 video meetings with industry representatives to learn more about the solutions being showcased in the marketplace area. Before doing so, it is recommended to check the 'How it Works' section to become familiarized with the platform.

As part of its mandate, Frontex regularly meets with industry, researchers, and experts from the Member States to provide a platform for discussion and help develop new technologies and innovations related to border control. The agency has developed a Transparency Register to ensure that contacts with the industry are as transparent and fair as possible. All meetings and contacts of the Executive Director, Deputy Executive Directors and Heads of Divisions in matters concerning procurement procedures and tenders for services, equipment, or outsourced projects and studies are registered in this tool. Frontex regularly informs about such meetings on its website.
